Ron Shalom Galperin (born August 1, 1963) is an American politician, serving as Los Angeles City Controller since 2013. He took office on July 1, 2013 and won re-election in 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, Galperin is the first openly gay official and first neighborhood councilmember to be elected to citywide office in Los Angeles.[1]
Galperin was elected Los Angeles City Controller in 2013, and re-elected in 2017.
